Touch de Tanoshimu Hyakunin Isshu: DS Shigureden poster (2006)
That’s a golden B2 poster for the Nintendo DS game “Touch de Tanoshimu Hyakunin Isshu: DS Shigureden” (タッチで楽しむ百人一首 DS時雨殿).
The game was part of the Touch Generations series of games and was released exclusively in Japan on December 14, 2006. It uses the Mobiclip video coded and include some Super Mario Bros. sprites like the Mario with long legs visible at the bottom of the poster.
The game of Hyakunin Isshu refers to the Shigureden museum (Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts and Culture, SAMAC), opened on January 27, 2006. The museum is located in Arashiyama (Kyoto), it is centered on the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu poems and was founded by Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi, investing more than $20 million, while Shigureden’s Autumn Shower Palace hall was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto himself.
